About The Position

The PLT QA Tech III - Classifier will determine if the rejected tires from 100% are repairable, scrap, or first class according to the QMD, and perform various audits. The Passenger QA Classifiers job is to classify and inspect tires according to QMD standards, notify appropriate personnel of scrap tires that repeat, and perform various audits, including dirty mold audit and serial audit. The QA Technician will be cross-trained to perform all QA technician inspection jobs and must be able to lift tires for the duration of the shift and place them on the appropriate pallets and conveyors. The QA Technician will follow all plant rules, departmental safety policies, environmental policies, and chemical handling procedures, including being familiar with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). They will also follow standard practice for this specific job and perform all work necessary to obtain quality production, as well as perform other duties as directed by the QA Supervisor, Chief Inspector, or QA Manager. Ensuring all ESH procedures, policies, and legal requirements are implemented and monitored is also part of the role.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

• Previous manufacturing experience.
• Previous manufacturing Quality experience.
• Associates degree.
