The Material Handler must know all OEM tire marking requirements.The Material Handler must be observant to and clear any obstructions in the conveyor systems.The Material Handler must know and understand the operation of the balance pad and be equally knowledgeable in bar code correction and/or replacement.The Material Handler must safely operate a walkie and/or fork truck and transport pallets of tires to and from work areas and/or machines.Must complete a daily check sheet on each powered vehicle he/she operates.Perform other duties as directed by the PLT Curing Supervisor or Department Manager.Must thoroughly understand the work instructions for this position.Must maintain good housekeeping practices assuring the department is neat, clean and orderly.Must promptly report any and all safety hazards and concerns to his/her supervisor.Medium to heavy work. Exposed to head and dust. Must be able to stand for the entire shift, frequently stooping, bending, twisting, walking long distances, climb stairs/ ladders, and lift up to 43#'s on a repetitive basis from floor to shoulder height. Push/Pull medium to heavy. Full use of arms, hands, and wrist. Have good vision acuity and the ability to distinguish colors.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 0-2 years of manufacturing experience needed
