About The Position

The Plow/Salt Truck Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently producing quality Snow Removal and Ice Management services that meet or exceed the standards of clients and management. This role requires the driver to prepare trucks for the day, load and secure equipment, and maintain personal protective equipment. The driver will operate snowplows and heavy equipment for several hours at a time, depending on snowfall, and perform maintenance on equipment. The position requires availability during nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• Valid CDL A License (BY OFFER DATE).
• Ability to pass a DOT Physical (includes a Drug Test).
• Minimum 1 year snowplow experience in a professional setting.
• Ability to operate various snow removal machines, shovels, and salt spreaders.
• Ability to operate various vehicles, with or without trailers.
• Ability to safely perform heavy lifting/pushing/pulling of landscaping equipment and materials.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to walk up to 10 miles a day, sometimes uphill and on uneven terrain.
• Ability to bend and kneel for up to 9 hours or more a day.
• Ability to work hours that vary and may exceed 12 hours per day.
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, precipitation).

Responsibilities

• Prepare trucks for the day by loading equipment and supplies.
• Secure all equipment and maintain personal protective equipment.
• Remove snow using a snowplow and heavy equipment for several hours at a time.
• Perform Snow Removal and Ice Management tasks on properties.
• Safely operate equipment with necessary personal protective equipment.
• Unload equipment from trucks and wash equipment and trucks.
• Drive plow and assist the team as needed.
