Apexon is seeking a PLC Programmer to join our team in Dearborn, Michigan. This full-time role involves providing direction for controls equipment locations with a focus on safety, maintenance, and production considerations during tool installation and launch. The successful candidate will analyze customer requirements and map them to NGAVS systems design, develop process flow diagrams based on customer input, and own the integration of NGAVS with client Vehicle Operations tooling and process control systems. Additionally, the role requires collaboration with vendor controls engineers to install, test, and debug standard NGAVS logic and drivers, as well as creating custom PLC code for unique plant situations and modifying standard templates and HMI code for specific requirements. The candidate may also direct the efforts of others, including agency personnel or third-party controls integrators, depending on the project assigned. Support for New Model Program build events may require working during nonstandard hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays.
