From your PASSION to ours Lactalis Heritage Dairy , part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a PLC Maintenance based in Tulare, CA. As a PLC Maintenance (Systems Technician), you will be responsible for designing, modifying, programing, testing, installing and supporting control systems that provide ongoing information operations for the Factory. The role includes ensuring manufacturing performance, volume, and quality goals are met by utilizing efficient technical methods. Additionally, the PLC Systems Technician will collaborate with the Maintenance and Production Management, Supervisors, Coordinators and Staff to align duties with the company's goals and values. Hours/Shift: Night shift - 10:00PM -06:30AM (Sunday-Thursday) Additionally Some weekend coverage required.

Requirements

  • Education - Bachelor's degree is preferred in engineering
  • Experience 2-5 years of experience in a PLC Systems Technician or similar role within a manufacturing or industrial setting
  • Certifications and specific knowledge
  • Strong understanding of automation and preventative maintenance
  • Demonstrated Leadership Skills
  • Strong written, verbal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Office Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Very Strong SAP PM & MM (Power User)
  • Demonstrates technical proficiency in the following:
  • Network / Computer Hardware
  • Computer Operation Systems
  • Allen Bradley PLC Programming & Troubleshooting
  • Factory Talk View SE Programming & Troubleshooting

Responsibilities

  • Works under general direction from the Controls Engineer.
  • Follows company Environmental, Safety, and Health (ESH) guidelines.
  • Receives assignments that are broad in nature requiring appreciable originality and ingenuity for successful completion.
  • Facilitates development of the weekly maintenance schedule in conjunction with appropriate maintenance, operations, and engineering personnel.
  • Responsible for consistency of format for all job plans.
  • Effective job performance requires initiative to establish priorities and a high degree of interaction with all Technicians.
  • Have knowledge of Team Environment and ability to apply team concepts with all Technicians and Management staff.
  • Technician will acquire new skills by conventional training along with hands on experience.
  • Ability to effectively handle and manage the solving of process control and information system related problems. Including PLC5/XXE, SLC 500, Control Logix, RSLinx, Asset Centre, Historian, Factory Talk View SE, Thin Manager, Thin Clients, Ignition, support and maintain plant virtual servers.
  • Provide close technical support at plant floor level for Maintenance Technicians and Process Operators troubleshooting PLC and other plant control systems.
  • Modifies PLC logic, HMI screens, instrumentation/controls and electrical drawings modification/updates using ACAD.
  • Understanding of Ethernet/IP, TCP/IP LAN's and WAN's, Microsoft Office Suite, and Microsoft Windows Environments.
  • The ability to communicate well, organize time and to interface well with all levels of management.
  • Maintains the criticality database in the CMMS (SAP) system.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Must complete CBT’s assigned on quarterly basis.
