About The Position

As a PLC Maintenance Technician at Sazerac Company, you will ensure the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, conveyor systems, and production machines. You will have the capability of following diagrams, sketches, manuals, and engineering specifications to troubleshoot malfunctions. The schedule for this position is Monday-Thursday, 6:00am-4:30pm.

Requirements

• 5+ years of prior Maintenance or Mechanic work experience required
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Demonstrated mechanical troubleshooting skills to diagnose and repair machinery issues
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of machine safety inspections and adherence to safety regulations

Responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment, programmable logic controllers (PLC), and variable frequency drives (VFD)
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues with machinery, utilizing strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Identify and resolve PLC-related problems, utilizing PLC troubleshooting skills
• Conduct machine safety inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols
• Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement preventive maintenance programs
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including work orders and equipment logs
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment
