About The Position

As a PLC Maintenance Technician with Rinker Materials, you will contribute to one of the nation's largest manufacturers of reinforced concrete pipe, box, bridge, and other related infrastructure products for stormwater and sanitary applications. Requirements

  • Business/technical degree preferred or equivalent work experience. One plus years' experience in a manufacturing plant.
  • Working knowledge of large machine operation, construction of infrastructure.
  • Technical expertise in welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, machining and electronics.
  • Ability to provide clear and concise verbal instructions along with the ability to listen and ask questions to understand points made by others.
  • General computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and database systems.
  • Ability to read and apply information from plans, blueprints, work instructions and equipment manuals. Diagnostic problem solving techniques. Detail orientation.
  • Mathematical skills and mechanical abilities to diagnose and solve problems.
  • Demonstrated pattern of positive attitude, strong work ethic, and dedication.
  • Must have a valid drivers' license.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain PLC systems for batching plants, mixers, and material handling equipment.
  • Develop and troubleshoot PLC programs to optimize concrete production processes.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and automation issues to minimize downtime.
  • Integrate PLCs with sensors, scales, and control panels for accurate batching and quality control.
  • Maintain documentation for wiring diagrams, PLC logic, and system updates.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to improve system reliability.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various equipment and systems.
  • Conduct inspections to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, mechanical, and plumbing problem.
  • Repair or replace faulty components, such as motors, switches, and valves.
  • Fabricate parts or components as needed.
  • Install, maintain, and repair low voltage and high voltage electrical systems.
  • Collaborate with other team members to complete projects and ensure efficient operations.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and resolving maintenance issues in a timely manner.
  • Position does require working on tall structures using a manlift, climbing ladders and the use of safety harnesses.
