About The Position

Americold is a global provider of temperature-controlled infrastructure. The position involves performing maintenance activities on PLC/Controls Systems in a cold storage automated facility, working under limited supervision, both individually and as part of a team.

Requirements

• 5-10 years PLC/Controls and mechatronic systems maintenance experience in an automated facility or equivalent.
• Certified Maintenance & Reliability Technician (CMRT) or equivalent preferred.
• Certifications or formal training in related experiences are preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Experience using Lockout Tagout (LOTO) procedures and devices.
• Understanding of electrical safety including arc flash and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Knowledge of 3-phase electrical systems.
• Proficient working with electrical wiring of equipment, system control panels, and diagrams/schematics.
• Proficient with industrial machine ethernet, DeviceNet, PROFIBUS, or similar communication systems.
• Experience programming PLC systems is preferred.
• Experience with Siemens and/or SEW Eurodrive is preferred.
• Experience with change management methodology related to programming system controls.
• Knowledge of SAP or Oracle is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance activities on PLC/Controls and Electrical Systems.
• Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance activities, troubleshooting, overhauls/rebuilds, and continuous improvement activities.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed via CMMS.
• Keep work area clean and perform housekeeping duties as required.
• Perform related work and other job assignments as required.
