About The Position
We are a manufacturing company located in Mableton, GA specializing in coil coating. We are seeking a PLC Controls Engineer with experience in Ignition SCADA and Rockwell/Allen-Bradley PLC systems to support automation and controls across our production lines. This role will focus on PLC programming, Ignition development, troubleshooting automation systems, and improving plant reliability and efficiency.
Requirements
- 3+ years of PLC programming experience
- Experience with Ignition SCADA platform
- Experience with Rockwell / Allen-Bradley PLCs
- Experience troubleshooting industrial automation systems
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
Nice To Haves
- Experience Coil coating or Continuous manufacturing processes
- SQL, scripting, or database integration within Ignition
Responsibilities
- Program, modify, and troubleshoot PLC systems (Rockwell / Allen-Bradley preferred)
- Develop and maintain Ignition SCADA applications
- Troubleshoot automation, controls, and electrical systems
- Support production equipment and continuous manufacturing lines
- Integrate PLCs with HMIs, SCADA, VFDs, and plant networks
- Participate in automation upgrades and system improvements
- Assist with commissioning of new equipment
- Maintain documentation for PLC programs and control systems
