About The Position

The PLC Commissioning Engineer works at a client site to commission and validate Rockwell control systems. This role involves executing automation commissioning and validation protocols, troubleshooting and remediating commissioning and validation non-conformances, and working in a team environment with engineers from RoviSys and clients to provide state-of-the-art Control Systems that improve efficiency, product quality, and profitability of process manufacturing. The engineer will also define and implement programmable logic controller (PLC) configurations, conduct testing and on-site commissioning and qualification of control systems, and mentor less experienced engineers.

Requirements

• 2-8 years of experience in automation or related field
• Demonstrates the ability to perform technical responsibilities
• Communicate effectively and professionally with both customers and colleagues to present new ideas, accomplish challenging goals, and solve problems
• Ability to execute assignments with little supervision and guidance
• Self-motivated, excellent communication skills, and enjoy working with people
• Hands-on experience with current PLC or DCS platforms

Nice To Haves

• B.S. in Electrical, Computer, or Chemical Engineering or Engineering Technology
• Electrical design fundamentals
• Experience with Microsoft Windows and Rockwell Automation platforms
• Process Control Fundamentals
• Awareness of process safety, validation, and good documentation practices
