PLAYROOM ASSOCIATE - Evenings and Saturdays The Playroom Associate watches children 8 weeks to 10 years old. The perfect candidate must be patient, reliable, trustworthy and flexible. Must be a self-starter and professional in order to address child-related needs and issues in a proactive manner. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Follow procedures and adhere to policies regarding safety, emergencies and provide first aid as needed. Communicate with the Guest Relations Coordinator: This includes answering emails and texts in a timely manner and following protocol for schedule changes. Maintain a clean work environment. Must be able to handle the basics of infant and childcare, prepare safe and fun activities, deal with difficult situations and handle emergencies. Work 8-12 hours per week. QUALIFICATIONS Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Must be at least age 16. Must have previous babysitting experience Must be CPR certified or willing to be trained to perform CPR and First Aid. Must secure FBI, Child Abuse and Criminal History Clearances. Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing in the English Language Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with parents colleagues, the Township, and the general public. Education and Experience Experience showing strong organizational and communication skills. EQUIPMENT USED Membership automation system; personal computer including word processing and database management software; copy and fax machines; 2-way radio, overhead speaker system, calculator; phone.
