About The Position

Provide bag, golf cart, and range services to members and guests.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Knowledgeable about the game of golf and its rules.
• Knowledge of and ability to perform the required role in emergency situations.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
• Able to meet and perform the physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment that is typical of this position.
• Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping and pulling
• Frequent repetitive motions.
• Continuous standing and walking.

Responsibilities

• Brings golf carts from the cart barn to the cart staging area outside the Golf Shop; checks golf carts for tire pressure, brake operation, and other safety considerations.
• Loads bags from the bag room onto golf carts.
• Transports range balls to each end of the range and fills appropriate containers.
• Places baskets of balls at evenly spaced intervals on the range.
• Operates tractor and ball picker on the range to retrieve balls.
• Washes all range balls daily.
• Removes bags from golf carts and returns bags to the assigned rack in the bag storage room.
• Returns golf cart to cart barn; removes towels, pencils, score cards, tees, drink cans, etc., from golf carts and saves reusable items; checks cart for damage; washes golf cart with pressure cleaner; parks cart in barn and connects charger cable.
• Advises Golf Shop of clubs found on the course and destined for the lost and found.
• Cleans all clubs for members and guests; cleans and maintains the club’s rental equipment.
• Maintains the cleanliness of and order in the Bag Room.
• Performs other appropriate tasks as assigned by the Director of Players Services
