About The Position

The Player Development Assistant position at the Detroit Tigers is designed to support the operations of the Player Development department. This role involves assisting with various administrative tasks, coordinating player travel, and providing support during training camps. The assistant will play a crucial role in ensuring that player and staff needs are met efficiently and effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Sports Management or a related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and excellent computer skills.
• Proficiency in speaking Spanish is preferred.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist with supporting all Detroit Tiger player and staff needs including roster preparation and player files.
• Prepare daily game reports and summarize them for distribution to organizational personnel.
• Provide assistance during Minor League Spring Training, Major League Spring Training, and off-season camps as needed.
• Coordinate player travel and assist with Florida Complex League operations.
• Communicate with facility operations staff and assist with airport transportation for staff and players as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
