About The Position

Applies the knowledge and skill necessary to implement age-appropriate play and activity programs that provide normalization, facilitate adjustment and meet the emotional and developmental needs of hospitalized children and families.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in child development, education, or a related field; other combination of education and experience that would provide similar competency may be considered.
  • Paid experience working with children, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Experience in planning and carrying out activities for individual children and groups of children.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with infants, toddlers, school-age children and adolescents in a therapeutic setting.
