Play & Learn Team Member
About The Position
YMCA MISSION: To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. This isn’t just a job, it’s making an impact! Currently filling positions in our Play & Learn program at the Jordan YMCA. Play & Learn staff assist in the implementation of programming and interact positively with parents, children, and other staff to develop trusting relationships. This position helps in fostering social, physical, spiritual, and mental growth and demonstrates the core values of caring, honesty, responsibility, and respect with program participants. Applicants must be at least 16 years of age to apply.
Requirements
- Warm and friendly personality and the willingness to work/play with children
- Understanding and knowledge of children, their behavior and development
- Ability to lead group discussions and activities including crafts, games, and sports
- Capable of establishing and maintaining positive relationships
Responsibilities
