About The Position

Description RESPONSIBILITIES Surface Preparation: Clean, mask, rack, and prepare metal components for plating using chemical, mechanical, and manual processes to ensure proper adhesion and finish quality. Plating Operations: Operate plating equipment and tanks (electroplating, electroless plating, anodizing, or other finishing processes as applicable) according to established procedures and specifications. Process Monitoring: Monitor chemical baths, solution levels, temperatures, and current densities to maintain process control and consistent plating results. Quality Inspection: Inspect finished parts for thickness, adhesion, coverage, and cosmetic standards using measuring instruments and visual inspection techniques. Documentation: Accurately record production data, chemical usage, test results, and process adjustments in accordance with company and regulatory requirements. Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of plating tanks, rectifiers, filtration systems, and related equipment; report malfunctions promptly. Environmental & Safety Compliance: Follow all environmental regulations, hazardous material handling procedures, and safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and waste disposal procedures. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve plating efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality. Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with 5S and facility standards. QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or GED Previous experience in electroplating, metal finishing, anodizing, or related manufacturing processes preferred Basic understanding of chemical handling and hazardous material safety Ability to read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, and technical specifications Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work Basic math and measurement skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS This position may require standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, frequent reaching and bending, and handling metal parts and chemicals. Exposure to chemicals, fumes, humidity, temperature variations, and industrial noise. Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including gloves, goggles, face shields, and protective clothing. Flexibility to work different shifts or overtime as needed.
