Eaton’s AER FMC Fuel Motion Control Systems division is currently seeking a Plating. The core hours are 7:00am to 3:30pm. The hourly rate for this position is 27.45 per hour. The Fuel and Motion Control Systems Division of Eaton’s Aerospace Group has an opening for a Certified Plating. This position is based in Euclid, OH. The Euclid facility has approximately 300 employees and is a leader in the design, development, manufacture and delivery of Aerospace Fuel Pumping components, systems and services to the global aftermarket and OEM markets. Set-up, maintain and operate various electroplate equipment to plate a variety of production parts and tooling to required thicknesses in specified areas. Perform visual and dimensional inspections and maintain accurate documentation on a variety of parts in accordance with ANSI Y14-5 and the certified operator program. Assistance may be given to other operators on proper operational procedures. Operate plating processes including but not limited to anodize, chrome, nickel, acid etch, passivate, electroless nickel, etc. Follow verbal and written Engineering and Quality Control instructions as contained in process procedures, metal finishing sheets and blueprints. Set Up and maintain timers, temperature controllers, indicators, rectifier amp, volt meters, and other associated equipment. Complete processes of fixturing/racking, masking and stop-off (tape, lacquer, etc.), surface activation; use of periodic reverse current; the use of bleeders to obtain uniform plating on irregular shaped parts; the use of filters, pumps, and agitators/mixers. Build/repair the fixtures as necessary, Perform minor machine maintenance. Perform pre- and post- processing tasks including, but not limited to, degreasing, cleaning, blasting, scrubbing, visual and dimensional inspection, baking and oiling. Make up chemical solutions, condition plating tanks, clean anode and cathode bars, strip racks, change filters, and perform certain equipment maintenance. Perform receiving intake, part marking, shipping identification and associated paperwork tasks. Apply coatings to specified thicknesses on products processed through plating; use appropriate gages and other measuring/testing equipment to certify coating thickness meets specifications. Maintain accurate lot control (QCP 6.0) traceability, record keeping, logbook entries, NCR’s (QCP 11.0) and associated documentation. Chart and plot data per SPC requirement. Load and unload shipments associated with plating, using hand trucks, tow motors, and other powered material handling equipment. Move material within the cell.
