About The Position

PacAero Agawam is seeking an Electroplating Utility Technician (Entry Level) to support and train across multiple plating operations. This entry-level role provides hands-on experience in blasting, degreasing, chem film, and other plating processes. The technician will work closely with the plating team to learn all aspects of plating while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• No prior plating experience required; willingness to learn is essential.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and wear required PPE.
• Reliable, motivated, and team-oriented.

Nice To Haves

• Basic computer skills a plus for documentation purposes.

Responsibilities

• Train and assist in all plating areas, including blasting, degreasing, chem film, and plating operations.
• Support plating team with part handling, cleaning, and inspection under supervision.
• Learn and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for plating and chemical processes.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area; adhere to all safety protocols when handling chemicals and equipment.
• Document work and production steps as required.
• Assist in minor equipment setup and maintenance.
• Collaborate with team members to support production goals and process improvement.
• Take direction and actively participate in training to develop plating skills
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Plating Supervisor
