The College of Engineering and Technology offers rewarding opportunities for adjunct faculty to teach part-time, face-to-face instruction at our Phoenix campus. GCU Traditional Campus – Phoenix, AZ: Courses are in-person and on-campus for the Fall 2026 Semester (09/08/2026 - 12/18/2026) Course: Platforms and Network Technologies This course exposes students to the fundamentals of networks and networking in IT. It then builds deeper understanding of how networks work, including the topics of LANs, WANs, service providers, packets, hubs, routers, switches, and internet protocols. The laboratory reinforces and expands learning of principles introduced in the lecture. Hands-on activities focus on setting up and configuring local and enterprise networks, experimenting with various topologies, and scalability planning with switches and routers.

Requirements

  • All instructors must have 2-5 years' experience in network infrastructure design and implementation. This includes LAN/WAN technologies as well as server/device-based services such as DHCP and DNS.
  • CCNA or Network+ required.
  • Minimum: Bachelor's or higher in Information Technology or related field with 10 years of experience in network design and implementation.
  • Your unofficial transcript reflecting degree earned with 18 graduate credit hours in the areas listed above
  • Your unofficial transcripts for any applicable conferred graduate degrees

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred: Master's in Information Technology or related field.

  • Assess student performance and mentor success in the classroom
