Core Mission: As platform team leader, you will own and advance Komodor’s core platform and infrastructure, ensuring it is scalable, reliable, secure, and built to support rapid product innovation. In this role, you will lead a team of engineers and DevOps responsible for the foundational systems that power the product, guiding the design and delivery of robust architectures and shared components. You will drive technical excellence by setting engineering standards, improving system resiliency and performance, and proactively addressing scalability and operational challenges. Working closely with product and other software teams, you will ensure the platform enables fast, high-quality development while meeting the needs of customers at scale.

Requirements

  • Proven Team Lead experience of at least 3 years
  • At least 5 years of experience working with Python/ Golang
  • Must have a startup mentality and a hands-on builder type personality
  • Flexible thinker, problem solver and a great mentor to your team member
  • 2 years of experience with Kubernetes and with common cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
  • DevOps attitude - understand systems beyond coding (infra, security, networking)
  • Highly dedicated individual with a “can-do” approach
  • Passion for solving deep technical challenges at the system level.
  • Strong sense of ownership and end-to-end accountability.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with highly technical teammates.
  • Curious, self-driven, and eager to explore emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of strong developers and DevOps to excellence while building scalable and high-quality software and infrastructure
  • Oversee development and execution of new features and products
  • Mentor and support the personal growth of team members
  • Hands-on development of about 50%
  • Join R&D Management Team and influence the entire RnD lifecycle (Hiring, Agile methodologies, Product and Technological efforts)
  • Influence the whole R&D as a member of the R&D Management Team
  • Lead by example with production cycle and customer-related issues
  • Drive the R&D organization to scale
