About The Position

The Platform Solutions Data Science Lead, VP will play a pivotal role in developing and delivering advanced quantitative data solutions that enhance transparency, intelligence, and execution for both clients and internal teams. This position centers on leveraging data science expertise to create impactful technology products for State Street’s client-facing financing platform. The ideal candidate will combine deep knowledge of financing and collateral markets with strong leadership abilities and a creative approach to problem-solving. Success in this role requires translating client needs into innovative data-driven solutions, collaborating cross-functionally, and applying quantitative methods to address complex business challenges. Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in data science or quantitative roles within financial services or technology sectors
• Exceptional analytical skills and proficiency in Python programming

Nice To Haves

• Preferred experience in securities financing (including securities lending/borrowing, repo, and collateral management)
• Background in working with analytics and execution platforms
• Proven experience leading and collaborating with Agile teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with business leaders and technical teams at all organizational levels

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of advanced analytics and optimization frameworks for the Financing Hub platform.
• Collaborate with internal technology teams, external vendors, and partners to ensure successful product deployment.
• Prototype and iterate on innovative solutions, working with internal stakeholders and clients to deliver tailored products efficiently.
• Engage directly with clients and prospects, conducting product demonstrations, managing proof of concepts, and serving as a subject matter expert.
• Maintain high standards of governance and model risk management throughout the solution development process.
• Represent State Street at industry conferences and events, showcasing platform capabilities and thought leadership.
• Foster a collegial and professional team environment through collaboration and active engagement with colleagues.
