Provide strong technical leadership to a team of software engineers, guiding and mentoring them to achieve technical excellence. Set technical direction, define best practices, and ensure adherence to coding standards and software development methodologies. Technical lead as part of an implementation team from concept to operations, providing deep technical subject matter expertise for successfully deployment of Data Platform Implement methods for automation of all parts of the pipeline to minimize labor in development and production. Identify, develop, evaluate, and summarize Proof of Concepts to prove out solutions. Work directly with product owner, business customers, architects to design, develop, test, and deploy changes, leading software engineers in the same and creating a highly collaborative and motivated team culture. Identify and deploy new tools and ways of working that enable the team to move faster / with greater agility. Creatively solve problems and thrive when faced with new and unique challenges. Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. In lieu of a 4-year degree, employer will accept a 3-year degree, in any of the aforementioned fields, and 6 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable. 5 years of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. Utilize Java/J2EE technologies including Core Java, Java Server Pages (JSP), Servlets, JSTL, JDBC, and Spring Boot. 2. Convert business requirements into data product using technical solutions built with Java, and rapidly deliver it through effective architecture and data pipeline. 3. Develop Micro Services and create API's using Java Spring Boot framework, with Maven as a build tool, and Data JPA. 3 years of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. Using Relational DBMS and Structured Query Language. 2. Participate in design and discussions to suggest alternatives and different technologies using custom java utilities and inhouse transformation and data products.
