Platform Engineering Intern - Portland, OR (100% on-site) At Panasonic Avionics Corporation, interns play a meaningful role in driving innovation and shaping the future of inflight entertainment. Our paid internships run 100% on-site from May/June through August/September, and all candidates must be actively enrolled students during the program. Requirements

  • Bachelors in Computer Science.
  • Colleges in the PNW (Oregon, Washington) are preferred. Students graduating from Portland High schools are also preferred.
  • Must be able to commute and work on-site 5 days a week.
  • Must be currently enrolled as a fulltime student at an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work on a full-time basis for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of any type of employment-based visa at this time.

Responsibilities

  • Platform Intern will assist with building and operating platforms used to deploy, monitor, and scale applications.
  • The intern will work with senior engineers to automate infrastructure, improve CI/CD workflows, and enhance Kubernetes-based environments.
  • Will work on enhancing our internal Kubernetes-based platform by building automation around GitOps workflows, improving CI/CD pipelines, and strengthening observability across clusters.
  • Their project will involve developing lightweight tooling to validate container deployments, integrate metrics/logging enhancements, and streamline developer onboarding by contributing documentation and reusable templates.
