The Platform Engineer will be responsible for maintaining the corporate AD services as well as various Microsoft Windows based servers, including Horizon virtual desktop infrastructure. The Platform Engineer will also assist with the on premise hardware hosting corporate workloads running on VMware Cloud Foundation, VCF, so familiarity with vSphere/vSAN and experience managing ESXi hosts is a must. Scripting and automating common tasks will be a common occurrence. Our virtual desktop environment leverages vSphere with NVIDIA vGPU, so expertise in desktop virtualization with NVIDIA vGPU is also a plus. The Platform Engineer will work closely with other members of the Platform team and Platform Administrators, Endpoint Engineers, and IT Client Services team to implement and manage various internally hosted Virtual Machines and related resources. In addition, this person will collaborate with other teams within the organization, outside of IT, as well as other team members to identify, track, and report on opportunities for system optimization, methods to drive efficiency, identify and reduce error rates, and empirically document customer experience.
