About The Position

Are you looking for an opportunity to leverage your platform engineering expertise in a high-impact role? Booz Allen has an opportunity to showcase your talents by supporting the United States Air Force. We're looking for a Platform Engineer to join the team and help operate a secure, reliable, and highly available Cloud, Managed Hosting, and Developer Platform. In this role, you'll thrive in an agile, fast-paced environment and translate business and development team requirements into automated platform solutions. You'll be responsible for working with a Security & Compliance team and platform engineers to implement secure infrastructure features, configurations, and automation to create a dynamic platform-as-a-service for development teams. You'll utilize expertise in AWS Cloud, Cloud or network security, containers and Kubernetes, and CI / CD pipelines. You should have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently while leading others, and be able to work across development teams.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience with DevOps for containerized or Kubernetes production systems.
  • 3+ years of experience with AWS Cloud.
  • 3+ years of experience with CI / CD and developer workflow automation such as Github Actions, GitLab CI, or AWS CodeStar or CodePipeline.
  • 3+ years of experience working with Docker and Helm.
  • 3+ years of experience with IaC, including Terraform or Ansible.
  • 3+ years of experience with Kubernetes deployment and GitOps tooling, including Helm, Flux, or Argo CD.
  • 3+ years of experience with Cloud or network security architecture, including least privilege or IAM, RBAC, or Boundary Protection.
  • Experience troubleshooting platform application deployments and configurations.
  • Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with concepts of Service Meshes such as Istio or AWS App Mesh.
  • Experience with Keycloak.
  • Experience with Cloud Native servers, Kubernetes platforms, and container registries.
  • Experience with vulnerability management and dynamic or static code analysis.
  • Experience with hardened AMIs and container images such as DoD STIGs or CIS Benchmarks.
  • Top Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in CS, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II or III Certification.
