Peraton is seeking a Platform Engineer to design, configure, integrate, and support ServiceNow and Enterprise Cloud Platform (ECP) capabilities for programs aligned to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This role is responsible for ensuring platform reliability, scalability, security, and alignment with FAA operational, cybersecurity, and governance requirements. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow platform engineering, automation, and integrations, and is comfortable operating in a mission-critical, compliance-driven environment supporting aviation operations and modernization initiatives. You ensure that ServiceNow and cloud platform capabilities support operational readiness, compliance, and modernization—helping the FAA respond faster, operate smarter, and maintain continuity across the National Airspace System (NAS).

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship Required.
  • Must have the ability to obtain / maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of experience or Masters degree and 6 years or Associate’s degree and 10 years experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 14 years experience.
  • Experience supporting ServiceNow and Enterprise Cloud Platforms (ECP).
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow configuration, workflows, business rules, UI policies, and scripting.
  • Experience with platform integrations, APIs, and middleware components.
  • Understanding of ITIL-based service management processes.
  • Familiarity with RMF, NIST 800-53, and federal compliance controls as they relate to enterprise platforms.
  • Experience supporting cloud or hybrid environments (AWS, Azure, GovCloud, or equivalent).
  • Strong focus on platform stability, security, and performance.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to FAA programs or NAS systems.
  • Experience supporting federal, aviation, or other regulated environments.
  • Degree in Information Systems, Cloud Engineering, or Cybersecurity.
  • ServiceNow certifications such as Certified System Administrator (CSA), Application Developer, or Implementation Specialist.
  • Experience with ServiceNow ITOM Discovery, Service Mapping, or Event Management.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation.
  • Experience supporting FAA, DOT, or other federal enterprise platforms.
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust architectures and secure platform design principles.

Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and support ServiceNow modules including ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, Asset Management, Change, Incident, and Request Fulfillment.
  • Engineer and maintain Enterprise Cloud Platform (ECP) services that support scalable, secure, and highly available operations.
  • Implement and manage platform integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Servers, and data connectors.
  • Ensure CMDB integrity, discovery accuracy, and configuration management best practices.
  • Develop and support automation workflows, scripts, and orchestration to improve service efficiency and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement access controls, logging, monitoring, and compliance requirements.
  • Support platform upgrades, patches, releases, and feature deployments with minimal operational disruption.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve platform performance, integration, and availability issues.
  • Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and configuration baselines.
  • Participate in change management, release planning, and platform governance reviews.
  • Support audit readiness, ensuring platform configurations align with FAA, RMF, and NIST requirements.
  • Provide Tier 3 engineering support and guidance to platform administrators and operations teams.
