About The Position

As a Platform Engineer within IBM Client Engineering, you will play a crucial role in delivering unique client co-creation experiences that accelerate their transformation. You will work with cross-functional teams to leverage hybrid cloud and AI solutions, ensuring that technical decisions align with business objectives and client needs. This position emphasizes collaboration, technical leadership, and the ability to communicate the value of IBM's technology effectively.

Requirements

• Working knowledge in at least one common cloud native programming language (Java, Python, HCL, Rust, Ansible).
• Conversant about cloud technology and latest industry trends.
• Demonstrates team collaboration and can navigate different communication styles.
• Possess excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Self-starter with a growth mindset, motivated to work with clients.

Nice To Haves

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent.
• Experience in deploying solutions on AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud, or Google Cloud.
• Relevant technical certifications (e.g., CNCF, AWS, IBM Cloud, Azure, Google Cloud, DevOps).

Responsibilities

• Leverage contemporary hybrid cloud skills and deep industry expertise to support clients' businesses.
• Define and communicate the differentiated value of IBM's technology both technically and commercially.
• Participate in client sessions involving public and hybrid cloud technologies such as Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes.
• Support the solutions architecture plan and provide hands-on support in client engagements.
• Facilitate a seamless transition to deployment by collaborating with deployment teams.
