The Team: As a Platform Engineer at Celonis, you will join the team building the very backbone of our platform. This role offers real ownership over critical infrastructure decisions that impact our entire engineering organization. The Role You will operate at a massive scale, managing solutions for hundreds of Kubernetes clusters and millions of cloud resources across all three major cloud providers: AWS, Azure, and GCP. We are looking for an engineer with a bias for action who can balance speed with long-term goals and isn't afraid to take on complex challenges with independence and curiosity.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of professional experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud Computing, DevOps, or SRE.
• A proactive, curious, and independent working style with a strong sense of ownership.
• Real-world experience operating highly available services in Kubernetes.
• Experience with at least one of the following cloud providers: AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Proficiency in Python or Go.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, GitOps, CI/CD.

Nice To Haves

• Experience operating Kubernetes clusters is a strong plus.
• Experience extending Kubernetes (e.g., writing operators) is a strong plus.
• Expertise in at least one of the following domains: Observability, Security, or Developer.
• Experience (DevExp).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Develop tools that enable managing hundreds of Kubernetes clusters and millions of cloud resources.
• Ensuring high availability, performance, and cost-efficiency of platform offerings.
• Pioneer the application of software engineering best practices to automate and optimize infrastructure operations, driving reliability and efficiency.
• Contribute critical infrastructure initiatives, directly influencing the architectural direction and operational excellence of the entire engineering organization.
• Drive projects in crucial platform domains such as advanced Observability solutions, robust Security frameworks, and enhanced Developer Experience
