Platform Developer Overview The Platform Developer is a highly skilled technical expert responsible for developing, maintaining, and innovating the global demo environments used across Genesys. This role requires a broad mix of technical depth—in cloud infrastructure, web development, DevOps, AI adoption, and Genesys product expertise—to ensure that the global demo ecosystem remains stable, secure, scalable, and always ready for use. The developer supports internal teams and authorized partners who rely on these systems to deliver compelling, real-world demonstrations of the Genesys Cloud platform. This role directly impacts revenue, enabling sales teams and showcasing Genesys innovation to prospects and customers worldwide.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Strong, practical experience with AWS services including S3, CloudFront, Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, API Gateway, IAM, and CloudWatch.
  • Solid understanding of modern web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, React, and REST-based integrations.
  • Familiarity with AI/LLM technologies, including prompt engineering, orchestration tools (e.g., MCP), vector search, or practical AI-assisted workflows.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tooling, including CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, Terraform or other IaC tools, logging, and monitoring frameworks.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify root causes and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across global, cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently in fast-paced and evolving environments.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in SaaS, CCaaS, or cloud platform ecosystems is beneficial; Genesys Cloud experience is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Web Development: Develop and maintain the primary demo web application and portal, along with vertical-specific “fictional customer” sites (e.g., banking, healthcare, retail) that support storytelling and showcase Genesys capabilities. Use modern web technologies to create polished, immersive digital experiences that bring demo use cases to life.
  • AI Adoption & Automation: Integrate AI into daily workflows, demo creation, automation, and internal tooling. Leverage Genesys AI, LLMs, and MCP to streamline processes, enhance troubleshooting, accelerate content creation, and build AI-driven demo experiences, identify opportunities where AI adds meaningful value.
  • Demo Development: Design and maintain compelling Genesys Cloud demonstrations that highlight platform capabilities. Build end-to-end use cases, integrate APIs, and develop realistic workflows that support strong technical storytelling. Continuously update demos to align with product enhancements and customer expectations.
  • Infrastructure & DevOps Management: Support and enhance the AWS-based demo infrastructure using services such as S3, CloudFront, Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, and API Gateway. Apply DevOps best practices—including CI/CD, IaC, monitoring, and cost optimization—to improve reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
  • Support: Serve as an escalation point for demo environment issues, ensuring timely triage and resolution of field requests. Troubleshoot failures, configuration issues, and integration problems with a customer-first approach that keeps global teams ready to demo.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with Sales Engineering, Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Partner teams to understand requirements and ensure alignment. Provide guidance on product functionality and integrations while contributing to new demo concepts, tooling, and technical innovations that elevate global demo consistency and impact.
