What Will You Do: Understanding the U.S. healthcare environment and its complexities is captivating and stimulating. This team works with several Lilly Value & Access (LVA) organizations to bring operationally excellent solutions and art of the possible ideas together to transform the way we work. Eli Lilly and Company has been a global leader in pharmaceutical innovation for nearly 150 years. Our LVA organization plays a critical role in ensuring that patients have access to life-changing medicines while optimizing revenue streams and preventing revenue leakage. We partner with healthcare payers, policymakers, and providers to develop innovative pricing, reimbursement, and access strategies that maximize value for both patients and the business. We are seeking a highly skilled IT Systems Architect to provide both strategic and technical leadership for a cloud-based SaaS platform that supports key business functions, including contract management, pricing, and rebate reimbursement. This platform enables a wide range of operations, such as handling chargebacks, managing utilization-based and policy-driven rebates, overseeing government pricing, and supporting Medicare programs. In this role, you will be instrumental in advancing the integration of AI and automation solutions to enhance market access, analyze government policy, and optimize contract strategies. Your primary responsibility will be to design and implement robust frameworks that incorporate AI-powered intelligence tools into the platform. This includes establishing automated processes for ingesting various contract documents—such as PDFs and formulary tables—and developing advanced analytics pipelines to generate actionable insights that strengthen payer access strategies. You will set the technical vision to ensure solution designs support effective collaboration among technology teams, data engineers, and policy experts, with a focus on reliability, scalability, and maximizing business value. Close partnership with product managers, product owners, external SaaS vendors, will be essential to continuously improving and expanding LVA solution capabilities. As IT Systems Architect, you will champion the adoption of AI-driven features, influence vendor product development, and ensure all solutions adhere to enterprise architecture standards, cloud best practices, and regulatory requirements.
