About The Position

A "plate mounter" is primarily responsible for accurately mounting printing plates by using automatic mounting machine on to sleeves used on a printing press, ensuring the plates are precisely mounted on the sleeve according to job description and specifications. DESCRIPTION Job Preparation, check job order for accuracy and request corrections as needed. Plate, check mounting plate correct item, plate condition and thickness as it is specifying on the job order. Sleeve, check mounting sleeve as it is specifying on the job order sleeve repeat, sleeve made plate thickness, sleeve made press and the condition of the sleeve. Sticky back, apply on the sleeve based on the job specification by using tape applicator machine without any air trapped between sleeve and sticky back. MOUNT, specified item plate, check all QC list pre mount, clean the back of plate with 99.9% isopropanol alcohol, trim if it is necessary and mount the plate accurately by using automatic mounting machine and check all QC post mounted. COMPETENCIES Well detailed on all process.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instruction
• Ability to add, Subtract, multiply and divided in unit of measure, whole number, common fraction and decimals
• Familiar using Computer
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 60 pounds
