About The Position

Varsity Spirit, A Varsity Achievement Brand, is looking to hire a Plate Maker. As a member of the Varsity Brands Kansas City Yearbook team, the Plate Maker, you will be responsible for operating a machine that makes plates for printing presses.

Requirements

• Must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
• Must be capable of performing minor maintenance on machines.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate and help maintain the computer-to-plate processors.
• Inspect and release plates to the pressroom.
• Send CTP files to the press.
