Basic Job Functions:The Plate Finishing Continuous Heat Treat Tech responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Help lead unprecedented excellence in safety. Ensure safety is inherent and paramount in every single thing we do. • Coordinate continuous heat treat activities to safely and efficiently optimize finishing, continuous heat treat, and shipping productivity. • Consistent focus and dedication to improve all facets of safety, quality, cost, productivity and profitability. • Operate all continuous heat treat equipment and computer systems to produce plate per customer specifications. • Strive to minimize equipment downtime by assisting with preventative, planned and unplanned maintenance and will be responsible for assisting the rolling mill department to meet production needs wherever deemed necessary. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
