More about us: https://www.hach.com/about-us Job Title Plastics Specialist I Hiring Range $20.00 - $21.00 Job Summary Responsible for manufacturing quality product according to the work order or other build signal while adhering to defined work instructions. General duties include setup, operation, and adjustment of plastic injection molding machines and related equipment.

Requirements

  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures with close supervision
  • Develops skills to perform basic, repetitive, and manual activities on the job
  • Uses existing procedures to perform straightforward tasks; has limited opportunity to solve problems
  • Pre-employment Testing External hiring into this position is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check and possible pre-employment physical and/or credit history review.
  • Hach will consider qualified candidates with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the requirements of applicable local, state, and Federal Law.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for producing quality products per the build schedule
  • Operate injection molding machines to produce parts meeting quality specifications.
  • Perform secondary processing operations according to work instructions.
  • Check output to ensure consistency with specifications and discard defects.
  • Meet productivity standards.
  • Record and maintain quality or traceability information.
  • Record and maintain Cell Boards and other visual management tools
  • Maintain equipment according to work instructions or preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Report complicated equipment malfunctions to mechanics.
  • Participate in team meetings, which include planning daily work and resource utilization, problem solving, project work, etc.
  • Maintain visual management of part and raw material storage; clean and organized work area.
  • Assist in problem solving of new equipment and products.
