About The Position

The individual in this position is responsible for the design, development, and optimization of the plastic processing equipment and manufacturing operations at Evapco, Inc. facilities worldwide, including thermoforming, injection molding, extrusion, and pultrusion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Plastics, Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering discipline required.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in plastics processing.
  • Strong technical knowledge of polymer behavior and forming principles, with required experience in thermoforming processes and equipment.
  • Proficiency in analyzing complex process issues, implementing data-driven solutions, and performing root cause analysis in a fast-paced production environment
  • Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining focus on safety, quality, and delivery objectives.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project
  • Familiarity of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Technical lead for all plastic processing operations, including thermoforming, injection molding, extrusion, and pultrusion.
  • Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost performance.
  • Partner with external suppliers to design and refine molds and associated equipment to meet product and process requirements.
  • Manage the qualification, validation, and commissioning new tooling, equipment, and technologies.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product development engineering and production teams to successfully launch new products.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to equipment, tooling, materials, and process parameters to ensure consistent product quality.
  • Create, implement, and maintain comprehensive process documentation, including work instructions, process flows, and control plans.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance productivity, reduce scrap, and eliminate waste.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental policies, and industry standards.
