Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required.
  • 2-4 years in a manufacturing environment.
  • 2–4 years plastic welding experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings.
  • Use of grinders, drills, Dremel tools, and saws.
  • Skilled in operating welding equipment and power tools independently.
  • Good oral, written, and reading comprehension skills; basic computer skills for documentation or process input.
  • Mechanical Aptitude and good understanding of how plastic materials behave during cutting, forming, and welding.
  • Good basic math skills for measurements, layout, and quality checks.
  • Ability to detect weld defects, troubleshoot issues, and make process adjustments.
  • Good oral and written English communication skills for understanding orders and documentation.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry, reading electronic instructions, or reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Independently read and follow CAD drawings and work instructions.
  • Perform complete plastic welding assemblies without supervision.
  • Troubleshoot basic weld defects and adjust basic equipment settings.
  • Develop and modify basic templates and fixtures.
  • Perform self-inspection on parts for quality assurance.
  • Drill, cut, shape, and form plastic materials as needed.
  • Assist other fabricators when necessary to complete projects.
  • Escalate quality, safety, or process concerns to supervisors.
  • Perform tool maintenance (sharpen or replace worn tools).
  • Complete other job-related duties assigned by supervisors.
  • Suggest improvements to templates and welding setups.
