About The Position

The Plastic Surgery Graduate Student Research Assistant will support research projects in craniofacial and pediatric plastic surgery under the mentorship of a physician. This role involves conducting clinical outcomes studies, anthropometric studies using 3D photogrammetry, and analyzing national outcomes databases. The position is research-focused and does not involve direct clinical care.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a program working toward a medical degree or hold an MD degree or international equivalent.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in scientific writing.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in prospective and retrospective clinical outcomes studies in craniofacial and pediatric plastic surgery.
  • Conduct anthropometric studies of facial form and pathology using 3D photogrammetry and radiographic data.
  • Analyze national outcomes databases for predictors of morbidity in cleft, craniofacial, and orthognathic surgery.
