About The Position

We are seeking a motivated, skilled Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join our growing Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics team. Working closely with Board-Certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon Dr. Chelsey Johnson and our existing APPs, you will provide high-quality care in reconstructive, cosmetic, and aesthetic services. This role emphasizes outpatient clinic management, minor procedures, pre/post-operative care, and patient education in a supportive, rural healthcare environment.

Requirements

  • Master's degree (or equivalent) from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
  • Current Minnesota licensure as an NP (with prescriptive authority) or PA, or eligibility to obtain.
  • Certification by ANCC, AANP (for NP) or NCCPA (for PA).
  • BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Commitment to rural healthcare and serving diverse patient populations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • EMR SYSTEM: EPIC

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in plastic surgery and/or dermatology settings preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including history, physical exams, and assessment of plastic surgery/aesthetic concerns (e.g., skin conditions, reconstructive needs, cosmetic goals).
  • Diagnose and manage common dermatologic and plastic surgery-related conditions, with a focus on aesthetics, skin rejuvenation, wound care, and post-surgical follow-up.
  • Perform or assist with in-office procedures such as injections (e.g., Botox, fillers), laser treatments, minor excisions, biopsies, suture removal, wound care, and other aesthetic/reconstructive interventions.
  • Serve as first assist in the operating room for select procedures (as qualified and credentialed).
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physician(s).
  • Provide patient education on skincare, post-procedure care, surgical expectations, and preventive measures.
  • Manage pre-operative and post-operative care, including ordering labs/imaging, prescribing medications, and coordinating referrals.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, team meetings, and continuing education.
  • Promote a positive patient experience in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
