About The Position

This is a locum-to-perm position for a Plastic/General Surgeon with a specialty in Burn & Wound Coverage, located in Fort Wayne, IN. The role involves both inpatient and outpatient service settings, providing supplemental coverage starting June 1, 2026, and ongoing. The coverage type includes clinical duties and call, with a minimum of 8 hours per week. The call schedule is TBD, utilizing a beeper system with a 3:1 ratio and a 20-minute response time, expecting a 10% callback rate. Patient volume is estimated at 2-3, with 2 phone consults and 1 admission. Support staff includes 1 MA and 1 Office Staff. Procedures involve hand reconstruction and surgery. The EMR system used is Cerner. The surgeon must be willing to cover the outpatient burn & wound clinic. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered.

Requirements

• Active IN license
• Board Certified (BC)
