The Plasterer position at Disneyland Resort is a vital role that contributes to the magic of the park by ensuring that various plastering tasks are completed to high standards. The Plasterer 200 is responsible for performing a range of functions that include plastering normal finishes and simulated finishes such as rock work, brick, stone, and wood. This role also involves the removal and installation of tile, brick pavers, concrete, and asphalt. The work will take place in various settings, including shop work, fieldwork, and rehabilitation projects, which can range from general construction to the intricate refurbishment of existing structures. A key requirement for this position is the ability to read blueprints and follow engineering instructions, as well as the proficiency in using standard hand tools and power tools. This position provides essential support to the Engineering team and all maintenance teams, including those responsible for attractions, rides, shows, and infrastructure facilities. The Plasterer 755 role expands on these responsibilities by including model and mold making, specifically with fiberglass and silicone. This position also involves fiberglass repair and the manufacturing and casting of parts using materials such as urethanes, epoxies, and resins. Similar to the Plasterer 200, the Plasterer 755 will also engage in the removal and installation of tile, brick pavers, concrete, and asphalt, as well as the fabrication of MACON parts and the repair and refurbishment of character heads. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work with fine and sensitive character heads during repairs or refurbishments. Both positions require familiarity with safety procedures and equipment necessary to accomplish the tasks effectively, as well as the ability to learn and utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (MAXIMO).
