About The Position

Legacy Finishing Systems is looking to expand its team with experienced foreman plasterers. This position requires candidates to travel around the Dayton, Columbus, and Cincinnati areas, as there is no home base. Candidates must have reliable transportation and be authorized to work in the US, as Legacy participates in E-Verify. A high school diploma or GED is required, and candidates must join the union. The job involves applying coats of plaster to walls, ceilings, or partitions of buildings using trowels, brushes, or spray guns, setting up scaffolds, and applying weatherproof, decorative coverings to exterior surfaces of buildings. Other responsibilities include cleaning and preparing surfaces for applications of plaster, cement, stucco, or similar materials, mixing substances or compounds needed for work activities, and molding or installing ornamental plaster pieces, panels, or trim. Additional duties may be assigned by the foreman.

Requirements

• Must have high school diploma or GED
• Must pass drug screen
• Must be authorized to work in the US
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly and up to 75 lbs. occasionally
• Ability to climb ladders and work in tight spaces as needed
• Basic hand tool knowledge
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)

Nice To Haves

• Hawk and trowel knowledge
• Experience with plaster
• Knowledge of plaster mixing

Responsibilities

• Apply coats of plaster to walls, ceilings, or partitions of buildings, using trowels, brushes, or spray guns
• Set up scaffolds
• Apply weatherproof, decorative coverings to exterior surfaces of buildings, such as by troweling or spraying on coats of stucco
• Clean and prepare surfaces for applications of plaster, cement, stucco, or similar materials, such as by drywall taping
• Mix substances or compounds needed for work activities
• Mold or install ornamental plaster pieces, panels, or trim
• Other duties as assigned by foreman
