Just look up. Are you ready to go beyond? We have an exciting opportunity to join our team in Wichita Falls as a Plasma Operator. The person in this role will be responsible for preparing and performing plasma spray operations on engine parts. You will play a key role in supporting our operation of repairing the hot sections of our engines. The person in this role will train on our 1st shift for up to 6 months. Upon completion of training, you will work on our 2nd shift, which is Monday-Thursday from 3pm-1am.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to read and use basic measuring instruments
  • Previous experience performing preventative maintenance
  • Previous experience in Aviation Industry
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings

Responsibilities

  • Prepare parts for plasma spray (mask, grit blast, anti-bond of plasma spray)
  • Set up thermal spray parameters according to PMS and/or SOP
  • Perform thermal spray operations
  • Maintain thermal spray records pertinent to the department
  • Complete OJT program, or successfully complete related Vo-tech training (e.g. precision tools, process controls)
  • Perform preventative and minor maintenance on equipment
  • Maintain work area in a clean and orderly manner
  • Read basic graphic instructions and dimensional drawings
  • Use precision measuring tools, i.e. micrometers and calipers
  • Participate in all appropriate CORE (ACE) activities
