About The Position

This role is designed as a part-time opportunity, with most shifts typically lasting between 4 to 6 hours a day, 3 or more days per week, to accommodate various lifestyles. Availability and shift times will be confirmed early in the interview process, and schedule changes will be communicated in advance. Reliability during scheduled hours is highly valued due to patient dependence on collected plasma, but the part-time nature of the role emphasizes mutual flexibility. As a Plasma Center Technician, you will be motivated by the donors you meet daily, knowing that the high-quality plasma collected contributes to life-changing medicines. The role demands a commitment to customer service and quality. You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and be responsible for screening plasma donors and performing phlebotomy to support center operations. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift
  • Will work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees
  • Ability to lift to 5 lbs., and occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
  • Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance
  • 90% of work tasks require prolonged glove wear due to potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens (risk level 1)

Nice To Haves

  • 1 or more years minimum experience working in a customer or patient facing role is helpful

Responsibilities

  • Answer phones, greet and focus on donors, while ensuring the safety of donors and the team.
  • Screen new and repeat donors and take and record donor vital signs and finger stick results.
  • Use the Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, maintain accurate records, and coordinate donor compensation.
  • Help identify operational opportunities for continuous improvement and initiate changes to center processes using company approved procedures.
  • Be available for donors, which includes working a variety of shifts, Saturdays and Sundays, and holidays.
