About The Position

As a member of the Planting Crew at Moon Valley Nurseries, you will play a vital role in the process of installing trees and plants for our customers. Your responsibilities will include planting trees and shrubs according to specifications, ensuring proper spacing and alignment, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. You will work closely with our team to deliver exceptional service and exceed customer expectations. Requirements

Ability to perform manual labor.
Ability to follow specific instructions and safety protocols.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in landscaping, horticulture, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Previous experience with operating power tools, hand tools, and other equipment preferred.
High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Plant trees, shrubs, and other plants according to landscape plans and specifications.
Ensure proper fertilization and planting techniques are followed to promote healthy growth and longevity of plants.
Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and complete projects on time.
Assist with loading and unloading plants, tools, equipment and any other equipment needed for the day's tasks, ensuring accurate counts and proper weight distribution.
Ensure the proper use of PPE including safety glasses, gloves, and any other necessary protective gear to maintain personal safety.
Understand and recognize the significance of Blue Stake/811 colors at job sites to prevent damage to underground utilities and adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
Demonstrated availability to work any day of the week.
Other duties and tasks as assigned.
