Duties include but are not limited to the following: Work as directed by management in the bagging operation which includes: Operating a bagging line Stacking bags and pallets, up to 100 lbs, in specified configurations Operating a forklift and stretch wrapper Verifying at regularly scheduled intervals that package weights are accurate Control Point Monitoring and recording metal detector and magnet findings Work as directed by management in the truck loading operation which includes: Inspecting outbound trucks for sanitation and structural integrity, recording and documenting Ensuring outbound trucks are properly sealed Verifying and recording accuracy of packaging and amount of shipment Assist the Processor as needed Completing assigned cleaning and maintenance activities Responsibility to proactively offer facility and system improvement Responsibility to be actively involved and participate in the safety program Responsibility of reporting any issues involving sanitation, food safety and quality issues to management If appointed as Food Safety Team Leader for your location, the following responsibilities are assigned: Acting as the Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (as required by FSMA) by overseeing the formation and implementation of an FDA compliant Food Safety Plan Managing the food safety team and organizing its work Ensuring the food safety team receives relevant training Ensuring the food safety management system is established, implemented, maintained and updated Report to the organization’s top management on the effectiveness and suitability of the food safety management system In the absence of the Food Safety Team Leader, the Alternate will assume the responsibilities of the Food Safety Team Leader Perform other duties as required
