About The Position
Are you interested in starting a career with New York State? Do you have commercial/industrial operation and maintenance experience with HVAC or boiler equipment? Central New York Psychiatric Center is recruiting for a Plant Utilities Engineer 1 for their physical plant operations. Candidates from outside or within State Service can apply. As a Plant Utilities Engineer 1, you will be responsible for a variety of maintenance and repair tasks including operating, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and mechanical equipment inside and outside the physical plant equipment, cleaning, inspecting, and maintaining boilers, responding to mechanical, electrical, or plumbing calls and troubleshooting necessary repairs, and conducting boiler, HVAC, and water systems testing, analyzing results, and adjusting chemicals as needed.
