About The Position

The Plant Tire Development Engineer at Goodyear is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the Plant Tire Release Process. This position involves a comprehensive approach to planning and executing the development workload associated with tire production. The engineer will coordinate and troubleshoot product and process opportunities, ensuring that established process documentation and evidence are maintained. A significant aspect of the role includes leading new product industrialization (NPI) audit requirements, which are crucial for maintaining product quality and manufacturing efficiency. In this role, the engineer will apply Goodyear's standards and procedures to support the manufacturing process and enhance product quality. This includes seeking solutions to technical problems and conducting work on assigned tasks while exhibiting a high level of knowledge and expertise. The engineer will also utilize an understanding of customer requirements, both internal and external, that are relevant to multiple process areas, and will be expected to influence customers from various functions. The engineer will lead the application of technical solutions to meet product and process requirements, networking and consulting with other technical experts to improve processes and solve problems. This proactive approach will involve anticipating problems and developing solutions using appropriate tools and methods to deliver defined objectives that align with business needs. Additionally, the engineer will disseminate techniques to anticipate and mitigate risks associated with tire development and manufacturing.
