About The Position

The position involves operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing all LNG plant equipment. Responsibilities include performing fire fighting and other duties as assigned. The role requires the preparation of maintenance and operation logs, forms, and reports accurately and legibly. The incumbent will operate, repair, and maintain various LNG plant equipment, including compressors, engines, boilers, vaporizers, pumps, hazard detection devices, and fire suppression equipment according to written procedures. The position also involves operating computerized control systems and personal computers, requisitioning needed materials, and ensuring good housekeeping at the LNG facility. The incumbent will conduct inspections, monitor plant functions, take daily gas meter reads, and calibrate devices related to LNG plant operation. The role requires responding to emergency situations and promoting good public relations while performing all duties in a safe manner.

Requirements

  • One year experience performing mechanical and electrical maintenance and repair is desirable.
  • Knowledge of electrical and electronic circuits.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic control systems.
  • Experience with compressor repair and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with inspection and calibration techniques.
  • Understanding of troubleshooting techniques.
  • Knowledge of safety and emergency procedures.
  • Familiarity with applicable codes.
  • Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all LNG plant equipment.
  • Perform fire fighting and other duties as assigned.
  • Prepare all maintenance and operation logs, forms, and reports accurately and legibly.
  • Operate, repair, and maintain all LNG plant equipment including compressors, engines, boilers, vaporizers, pumps, hazard detection devices, and fire suppression equipment according to written procedures.
  • Operate computerized control systems and personal computers.
  • Requisition needed materials using proper company procedure.
  • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ensure good housekeeping is being maintained at the LNG facility.
  • Conduct inspections of the plant and components as specified by applicable codes or by supervisor.
  • Monitor and report all plant functions, including those related to operating systems, fire protection systems, computerized control systems, and security systems.
  • Take daily gas meter reads and calculate all items on a daily gas report using personal computers.
  • Operate and maintain gas chromatograph and other analysis equipment.
  • Calibrate all devices related to LNG plant operation using test equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.
  • Troubleshoot all pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic devices and systems.
  • Give first aid and respond to emergency situations, including fire and breaches of security.
  • Promote good public relations.
  • Respond to emergency Code 1 leak/odor complaints.
  • Operate heavy equipment (backhoe, manlift).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
