About The Position

This role involves coordinating the various functions and work activities of employees assigned to support a specific plant system. The Plant System Owner Prin has the authority to make necessary changes within the system and is responsible for managing the system end-to-end to ensure optimal overall safe and reliable performance. This position is intended for engineering candidates or others as a developmental role leading to plant leadership positions.

Requirements

• Education: Engineering Bachelor’s degree from ABET accredited school with equivalent experience; or other Bachelor’s degree with equivalent experience; or Associate’s degree with equivalent experience; or high school diploma or GED with equivalent experience.
• Experience: With an ABET accredited Engineering Bachelor’s degree, seven (7) years of relevant plant experience; or with any other Bachelor’s degree, eight (8) years of relevant plant experience; or, with an Associate’s degree, ten (10) years of relevant plant experience; or, with a high school diploma or GED, twelve (12) years of relevant plant experience.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, analyze and correct problems with assigned plant system.
• Implement and assist with process improvement projects and/or related programs.
• Coordinate activities of employees in maintenance, energy production, lab, coal handling, or outside contractors as required.
• Consult with or actively seek advice from Region Plant Engineering.
