Plant Support Tech

About the position

Assists in the management and coordination of functions and activities of the Plant Support Department with emphasis on landscaping. The schedule will be Monday-Wednesday 12:00pm-9:00pm, and Saturday-Sunday 8:00am-5:00pm.

Responsibilities

• Building, drywall, painting, and construction skills.
• Maintains irrigation systems throughout SYHC, Inc.
• Performs duties directly related to general construction, plumbing, basic electricity, mechanical skills, and landscaping.
• Assist in the completion and coordination of all written work orders and verbal emergent work orders at all locations.
• Inspects and performs safety tests on electrical lighting, emergency generators, alarms systems, communication system, medical equipment and HVAC system.
• Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
• Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings and workshops.
• Attends meetings as required and participates on committees as directed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in related field preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus. Good oral and written communication.
• Carpentry, basic electricity, plumbing and landscaping skills.
• Advanced knowledge of various telephone systems and wiring.
• Knowledge of plant operations and equipment.

Nice-to-haves

• Graduate from Associated Technical College.

Benefits

• Hourly pay with a minimum hiring rate of $22.39 and a maximum hiring rate of $29.45.
